[Frame Introduction] For spring and summer 2022 outdoor activities. METRONOME's Rush photochromic lenses are perfect! I METRONOME

Hello, I'm OKD from METRONOME-Tokyo Online, the official Japanese online store for METRONOME DESIGN INC., the London-based eyewear/sunglasses brand that sells METRONOME®.
This site sells and delivers stylish, unique, and functional frames nationwide, focusing on original brand eyeglasses and sunglasses.
Now, for those of you who have already had a quick look at our website, or for those of you who have come to this blog and seen the images and learned about the METRONOME design for the first time, you may have thought it was a rather unusual design.
Indeed, its unique design is one of METRONOME's strengths. But what is METRONOME anyway? The following is a quote from the About page :
It was unveiled in London in 2017. After that, it quickly received requests from buyers and agents around the world, and quickly spread overseas.
The brand presents its collections every year in Paris, Milan, New York and London.
Since 2018, they have unofficially participated in the Paris Collection, making them the only Japanese brand to have participated in the Paris Collection with sunglasses.
The brand's seemingly eccentric yet calculated designs are unique to a designer who has lived his life in fashion, and are highly regarded for their design and storytelling, both as individual pieces and as total fashion.
The design of METRONOME has been highly praised not only in Japan but also overseas, and in 2021 it was exhibited at the international exhibition SILMO PARIS 2021 held in Paris, France, where it received numerous orders from buyers, mainly from European countries.
Well, this introduction to the brand has been quite long. Let's get back to the main topic. As of the time of writing this blog (end of March), spring is already upon us in 2022. We're wondering if the infectious disease situation will finally calm down, and little by little, we're starting to feel like going outside again.
In addition, outdoor activities have become more popular as people try to avoid the three Cs. Many users are likely wearing sunglasses.
I (OKD) have recently become a big sunglasses user and wear our brand sunglasses when I go out and travel. However, sometimes it can be a hassle to have to change them.
If you normally wear glasses, you have to change into glasses indoors and sunglasses outdoors. This can be a bit of a hassle. When you want something simple or just want to go out for a short while, you don't want to carry too much luggage. In the first place, carrying more than two pairs of glasses and sunglasses on a regular basis is a bit bulky.
So, the item I would like to recommend this time is METRONOME's "Rush" with photochromic lenses. (Sorry for the long introduction...)
This frame uses photochromic lenses (C5-C7 only). What are photochromic lenses?
The lenses naturally change from sunglasses when outdoors or in places with high levels of UV rays to clear lenses indoors. This means there's no need to switch between eyeglasses and sunglasses. These lenses offer a high level of functionality that differs from the flip-up lenses found in our Trad and Resonance series. These lenses can be used both outdoors and indoors.
As described above, one frame can be used as both glasses and sunglasses, so there is no need to change them. Personally, I (OKD) enjoy golf as a hobby, and it is very convenient when I want to be as light as possible during a round (lol).
I wear sunglasses while playing and then switch back to glasses when eating indoors, and the lens change is so natural that I almost forget they're photochromic lenses.
The METRONOME Rush we are introducing this time features an overlapping and woven design in which titanium is integrated into the frame, wrapped around acetate of a different color.
There are seven frame colors available. Three of these, color numbers C5 to C7, feature photochromic lenses. The color I (OKD) personally use is C7: MAT BLACK x WHITE DEMI x MAT BLACK x Color control lenses. Please choose the one that has the words "Color control lenses" (photochromic lenses) in English.
What do you think? Although flashy designs tend to attract attention, these highly functional eyeglass/sunglasses frames are also a great addition to your collection.
Please consider purchasing these glasses. You can also try them on at our METRONOME dealer or at our store in Meguro , so please consider doing so. (Due to the structure of the frame, the lenses can be replaced, so prescription lenses are also available.)
Please check here for purchasing from the online store.
Well then.
