Sending Your Frame to Japan for a Lens Replacement
Yes — you can send your frame to us from overseas for a lens replacement. No prescription is required. We read the power from the lenses already in your glasses, so just send the glasses you're currently wearing. If we can't read the power from them, we'll contact you before doing anything else, rather than canceling the order.
Price: Prices for lens replacement are shown on the product page in your local currency at checkout, with a regional adjustment already applied — you don't need to convert from yen. For reference, in Japan a plain (no-prescription) lens currently costs more than a standard single-vision lens, a side effect of rising raw material costs for lens plastic, which has been affecting plain lenses more than prescription ones.
Turnaround: Once your frame arrives at our shop, the work itself takes about 1 to 10 business days. That clock starts the day the frame reaches us in Japan — international shipping comes on top of that, roughly 7 days each way, so plan for about 3 weeks door to door.
Shipping cost: Shipping is on you both ways — sending your frame to us, and us sending it back. This matches how we handle international shipping for repairs and regular orders.
What we can't do: adjustments that require seeing the frame in person, and frames that are already broken or missing parts.
