[New Service for 2022] I tried replacing my glasses/sunglasses lenses. I Metronome Staff
Hello, I'm Yamada from METRONOME-Tokyo Online, the official Japanese online store for METRONOME DESIGN INC., which sells METRONOME®, an eyeglasses and sunglasses brand founded in London.
Our shop sells a variety of items, mainly original brand eyeglasses and sunglasses frames, and ships nationwide.
While the designs may seem eccentric at first glance, they have a story that has been carefully calculated by the designer, and are highly regarded both domestically and internationally as being "stylish" and "uniquely cool."
Thanks to you, we have been given the opportunity to exhibit at global events, and in 2021 we were able to exhibit at the international exhibition "SILMO PARIS2021" in Paris.
Our shop primarily sells completed frames, but we have recently started offering frame processing services and online lens replacement services.
Our staff decided to give it a try right away! So, this time we'll be reporting on the "lens replacement" feature!

Distortion melancholia [METRONOME]
C2: FOSSIL BROWN DEMI
Lenses : Colored sunglasses lenses with blue light blocking
The first frame we chose is the Distortion melancholia [METRONOME] C2 in FOSSIL BROWN DEMI color.
I requested replacement lenses for "colored sunglasses lenses" with "blue light blocking lenses." The lenses are Canary B lenses with a transmittance of 77%.
There are over 30 different colors in total, so be sure to check them out! Here is the finished frame:
The finish is clearer than I expected. The sample image I posted earlier was taken on a white background, so the colors stood out.
This level of clarity seems like it would be good for everyday use. The Distortion frame also has a surface treatment called "fossil processing." In our shop, you can customize the frame and lenses as you like.
