[Adjustment/Customization] Online Lens Replacement Process I METRONOME

Hello, I'm OKD from METRONOME-Tokyo Online, the official Japanese online store for METRONOME DESIGN INC., the London-based eyewear and sunglasses brand that sells METRONOME®.

Our shop sells a variety of items, including our original brand of eyeglasses and sunglasses frames, and delivers them nationwide.

This time, I would like to talk about the "Online Lens Exchange Service" offered by our shop. When you purchase eyeglasses or sunglasses frames, they usually come with clear demo lenses or tinted sunglasses lenses.

Recently, it has become quite common to use them as eyewear to decorate the face, and I'm sure there are many people who use them as they are without adding any prescription lenses.

I also use blue light blocking lenses and wear them at my desk. Since I've gone to the trouble of buying eyewear, I want to wear them at work too.

Also, if you need prescription glasses, you may want to have your lenses replaced. Previously, our shop required you to have your lenses replaced at our authorized dealer or a nearby eyeglass store. However, in 2022, we finally launched our "Online Lens Replacement" service.

You can now replace the lenses in your purchased eyeglasses/sunglasses frames! (If you would like prescription lenses, you will need a prescription.)

Not only can we accommodate prescription lenses, but we can also replace them with over 30 different colored sunglasses lenses!

Now, let me explain the ordering process (sorry, finally). First, here is the information you need:

1) Eyeglass prescription (image or PDF)
2) Whether or not you want blue light blocking (if you wish)
3) Specify the type of color lens (if desired)

* If you would like non-prescription lenses, please check 2) and 3) . After placing your order, we will contact you by email, so even if you are not sure about specifying prescription or color lens types, we would like you to place your order first! Once you have selected the above, please pay for the frame you wish to have the lenses replaced with along with the lens replacement service. (*If you wish to have the lenses replaced on a frame you already own, please pay for the lens replacement service only.)

*Cash on delivery payment is not available for the online lens replacement service. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please use payment methods such as credit card, bank transfer, or Amazon Pay.

After confirming your order, we will contact you by email to inform you of the lens power, type of color lens, etc. We would appreciate it if you could also attach your eyeglass prescription to the email.

We can also confirm and change the color of the sunglasses lenses at this stage, so please feel free to ask. (*We cannot change the color of the lenses after the lens processing has begun, so please confirm the color of the lenses when communicating with our staff.)

Once we have confirmed that payment has been completed on our system, we will proceed with arranging for the lens replacement at the processing factory.

*If you would like to have the lenses replaced on your existing frames, please send the frames to us and we will keep them for you. Our staff will also inform you of the shipping address.

Once the exchange is complete, you will receive an email from us notifying you when the item has been shipped.

Single vision lenses are lenses used in general eyeglasses for nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, and close-up use. They are used for general refractive correction.

Multifocal lenses are lenses designed to allow you to see both far and close up. "Multifocal lenses" are eyeglass lenses that are primarily aimed at people in their 40s and older, allowing you to see both far and close up with one pair of glasses without having to change them.
