Hello, I'm OKD from METRONOME-Tokyo Online, the official Japanese online store for METRONOME DESIGN INC., which sells METRONOME®, a stylish eyeglasses and sunglasses brand founded in London.

・Staff living around Saitama Prefecture.
My favorite is the " ATTITUDE C1 Blue Light Cut " (lens width 45mm, bridge width 27mm, temple length 140mm)
・After discovering the metronome, I became completely fascinated with glasses and sunglasses. My collecting habit was revived, and my glasses collection is growing rapidly.

1. Introduction
Well, I'll write about it again this time. This shop was born in response to the voices of people who said, "I want to go shopping, but it's too far away to go." We are grateful for the orders we receive not only from the Tokyo metropolitan area but from all over Japan. (Probably, most of the orders come from outside the Tokyo metropolitan area!)
We are challenging a somewhat taboo question: can we convey details about size, frame texture, color, etc. on an online shop? Every day, our staff will work hard, little by little, to make our online shop for glasses and sunglasses even easier to use.
Well, just as our designers predicted, clear frames have been gaining popularity since the second half of 2021. Clear frames are often recommended, not just in our shop.
Clear glasses have already been appearing in large numbers at overseas eyeglass/sunglasses exhibitions, but signs of their popularity are now emerging in Japan, albeit somewhat later.
2. Spring 2022 outfits: Trendy sunglasses
And speaking of trends for 2021, we want you to check out "flip-up" lenses! Flip-up designs that allow you to flip up the lenses are really popular. They have anti-fogging properties, but more than anything, the feeling when you flip them up is "fun." The Summer Rain [METRONOME 2021] pictured below is a product that has received many requests at overseas exhibitions, with many people saying, "I want to buy it right there and take it home!"
All I can say is, please understand this vibe! (My vocabulary is limited orz) You can change the focus without having to take it off, so there's no need to bother taking it off and on!
What's more, unlike regular flip-up lenses, the Summer Rain allows you to operate both the left and right lenses separately. It's made of beta titanium, so you won't have to worry about the weight.
From the 2019 collection "Domination of Reverberation," the popular Summer Rain is being re-produced with new colors and improved temple tips and padding.
Be sure to get your hands on SummerRain, a pair of clear sunglasses with lenses, for your spring 2022 outfits!
3. Summer Rain. Matches with Mickey Mouse.
The factory's former product name was "Mickey Mouse." The design, with the left and right lenses independently tilting upwards, and the unique rope-shaped temples made from slender beta titanium, are truly representative of METRONOME.
I will also include information on sizes etc.
Size (mm)
1: Lens width 46
2: Bridge width 23
3: Temple length 169
When choosing glasses, size is a big concern! I've bought some glasses only to be disappointed when they didn't fit properly... The most important thing to check is the lens width (1) and the bridge width (2) in the diagram above.
For Japanese people, it is said that there is no need to worry if the lens width and bridge width of the glasses you are purchasing are around 65 to 70. Although it will require you to measure your face, which is a bit of a hassle, we would appreciate it if you could check this point.
Regarding the length of the temples, this is the length from tip to tip. Therefore, if the temples are curved like Summer Rain, the total length is 169mm, including the length from the curved end to the tip. This is why the temples are longer than those with a straight shape. They are longer because they are curved. (I usually wear a different pair of glasses with straight temples, about 140mm, and these were just the right size for me.)
This means that they fit securely in your ears, so there is less worry about them slipping off or falling off when you run.
Next, let's talk about colors. There are four types: three base colors and a designer edition.
C1: Black x Yellow
C2: SLASH Silver x Blue
C3: SLASH Gold x Brown
Designer's Edition: C1 Black x Red (Limited to 50 pieces)

4. Use a chain with your sunglasses.
It goes perfectly with Summer Rain! Also available is the "Glass Chain" that allows you to hang your sunglasses around your neck while wearing them. (
Sonolla [Glass Chain・METRONOME] ↓)
For those who regularly wear glasses or sunglasses, the trouble is often accidentally dropping your glasses or having to put them on, take them off, and put them back on again. This glasses chain is a stylish item that can eliminate that hassle.
The Sonolla [Glass chain METRONOME] pictured here features a design of large rings connected together, leaving a lasting impression on the viewer. As a fashion accessory, it is a glass chain with a strong presence that is typical of METRONOME.
And when it comes to storing your precious glasses/sunglasses, you need a case. We've introduced this product several times in our blogs, but one that's particularly popular is
the Dictionary Book Tray [METRONOME]. This product has been well-received at overseas exhibitions and is said to be useful as interior décor.
Now, finally, let's talk a little more about
Summer Rain .
Personally, the staff member writing this blog likes the blue lenses. I would like to get the limited edition designer edition if I can afford it! (lol) By the way, as I mentioned at the beginning of this blog, I usually
We use " ATTITUDE C1 Blue Light Cut " (lens width 45mm, bridge width 27mm, temple length 140mm).
Even for me, when I tried on
Summer Rain the other day, I was able to wear them without any problems (or rather, they were just the right size!), so if you can wear regular glasses/sizes without any problems, I don't think you need to worry about the size of the rope.
So, I've been talking a bit at length (sorry), but this time I've introduced
Summer Rain [METRONOME 2021].
Well then🙇♂️
